The perfumes of Rita Baga
Rita Baga has just launched two eau de parfum in her image (all glitter and flamboyance) in collaboration with Quebec luxury perfumer Claude André Hébert. Get up like this Lunar and Solar, intense, contrasting and gender-neutral fragrances. The first presents a certain kinship with Victorlaunched by the same perfumer in 2021, with a strong attack of spices and citrus fruits (lime, grapefruit…), a heart of pink pepper and jasmine, and a complex base of amber, vanilla and sandalwood. Lunar is rather full-bodied and will pique the attention in the evening. Solar, on the contrary, wants to be more rounded, with its pronounced sweet side, a pleasant blood orange taking center stage, supported by pink pepper, jasmine and lily of the valley, and a base made up of patchouli, sandalwood and more. and vanilla. These perfumes being very sparkling and of strong character like their muse, it is better to sniff out this new high-end duo to make sure that it matches our own style.
Price: $89 (50 ml) each, offered at Jean Coutu and Brunet

A quality Italian hair line in Canada
Launched in the country a few months ago, the Italian brand Insight Professional brings together in its tubes a concentrate of what we like to find in our hair products: at least 96% natural ingredients from organic farming, formulations without parabens, silicones, synthetic dyes or potentially irritating surfactants, containers made with recycled (and recyclable) materials and, finally, fragrances without allergens. Based on ozonated water – a key ingredient in the range, an alternative to chlorine and its compounds – the products are available in several collections, for different hair types and problems: colored, damaged, dry, curly hair, leather sensitive hair (for the whole family), daily use… We tested the anti-frizz range and our hair was found to be smoother and shinier, detangling easily.
Price: from $13 (100 ml) or $32 (400 ml), available online and at Tonic Salon Spa Laser

A serum that gives radiance
This new dermatological serum from Laroche-Posay is concentrated at 10% niacinamide, and is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive. Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3 essential to our metabolism, is a favorite antioxidant of facial care, because it has many virtues! It fights against skin aging, moisturizes it, reduces dark spots and fine lines and acts on redness. This fragrance-free serum has a soft and quite pleasant texture. It is applied using a very practical dropper in the morning and evening on the face. We feel after a little over two weeks that our skin is smoother, more luminous. This serum is paraben-free and hypoallergenic.
Price: $65 for 30 ml, in pharmacies and online

For beautifully shaped eyebrows
Among the newest additions to actress Millie Bobby Brown’s Florence by Mills vegan cosmetics collection are pencils, sculpting gel and brow wax. Used separately or together, Tint n Tame products are quite effective… as long as you learn to use them well. Wax should be used sparingly, so as not to leave visible traces. It allows you to sculpt the desired shape thanks to the hard bristle brush. The pencil, available in five shades, offers a fine or more filling line, as desired. The application must be done delicately, otherwise the fragile tip will break. The lightly tinted gel fixes everything and you’re done. The sculpting effect does not last all day, but nothing prevents you from applying a little gel if necessary to quickly find the look you are looking for. For the price, this brow line is worth a look.
Price: between $16 and $21; available in-store at Pharmaprix and online
