Bars for all hair types
Montreal-based brand BKIND has expanded its line of shampoo and conditioner bars to offer products specific to different hair types. For frizzy or frizzy hair, the plumeria flower duo formulated with wheat protein, panthenol and shea butter promises to deliver a heavy dose of hydration. Mission accomplished ! Bar shampoos are sometimes difficult to lather, but the one offered by BKIND shows no resistance on this side. It is therefore easy to make the product penetrate the hair. The same goes for the conditioner. The duo leaves the hair fiber hydrated and soft, easy to disentangle. The pleasant scent of plumeria flower permeates hair long after rinsing. BKIND also offers a duo for colored hair with the scent of peppermint and tea tree, another for dry and fine hair with monoi flower and a last for normal or oily hair, with the scent of grapefruit and eucalyptus. A more ecological and economical choice, made in Quebec with natural ingredients, to consider carefully to pamper your mane.
Shampoo and Conditioner Bar, $ 20 each.

For an instant healthy complexion
Confidence: the blush has never been part of our beauty routine, we who favor a more natural look, in short, not too powdery. It was before discovering this novelty of Milk (vegan products that come to us from the United States), a blush here liquid, easy to apply (with a brush, or even with your finger, in our case), which leaves a fresh finish, albeit discreet (if applied sparingly, be warned!). Ideal in these gray days, to display a healthy air. The formula, based on extracts of mushrooms, hyaluronic acid and vegan collagen, blends easily and delicately hydrates the skin. If the size of the tubes (8 ml) surprises you, know that a very small amount is more than enough here. Available in four colors.
Bionic blush, Milk, $ 27, on sale at Sephora.

Sunshine your bath
An old Quebec saying goes: “When the thermometer teases zero, run a nice hot bath. No, in fact, we just invented it, but we are implementing it with fervor starting in November, especially when we can decorate it with SELV fall products – natural, vegan and made in Montreal. The botanical oils are delicately scented and not too greasy for the body (around ten scents, including peach, flowers or mint and lavender), while the “Nordic Ritual” lavender and eucalyptus shower gel is very invigorating. We love the “immersive kits”, made up of bath salts, dried flowers, lanterns and botanical oils; we release all these beautiful people in the bathtub for a relaxing session worthy of raplapla days. There are 16 assortments – we liked “Le Rituel Soleil” made from lemon, coconut and lavender. Note that a strainer will be essential to avoid clogging the drain when emptying the tub.
Starting at $ 38.

A new face for Groom
While the Montreal company was already taking great care of the hair of these gentlemen with quality products mainly for beards and hair, Groom has just developed two new products for their face. There is thus a purifying cleanser to lather on the face, based on volcanic clay, barley and jojoba, accompanied by a moisturizing cream based on red algae and jojoba. In both cases, they are used quickly, leaving a clear skin and limiting the effects of shine on the skin. Note that they are lightly scented, and will generate a subtle woody trail of pine and cedar. The products are made using natural and ecological ingredients, in small batches, in a workshop located in Montreal.
$ 22 (cleanser) and $ 26 (purifying).
