Corrèze has the highest incidence rate in Nouvelle-Aquitaine

The situation is deteriorating further in Corrèze. After having exceeded the alert threshold at the beginning of the week, the department now has the highest incidence rate in Nouvelle-Aquitaine at 83 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Children under 10 are particularly affected with an incidence rate of 156 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the department. In Haute-Vienne, the situation remains stable (31 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).

The situation in Corrèze could have several consequences. Will wearing a mask at school, which was no longer compulsory since October 4, become compulsory again at the start of the school year? Same question for markets, flea markets and certain events. For these events, the mask had been removed since September 25.

Warning from ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine

The Regional Health Agency in Nouvelle-Aquitaine launched an alert this Friday: “We must not let go of the barrier gestures!” The incidence rate is 50.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the greater region, i.e. a 30% increase in one week. For the first time in several weeks, the alert threshold (set at 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants) has been crossed in New Aquitaine.
