The city of Montreal will host an office of the new Council for International Sustainability Information Standards.
The metropolis will therefore play a decisive role in sustainable finance, together with Frankfurt, which has been chosen to host the headquarters of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
The announcement was made on Wednesday at the 26th Conference of the Parties in Glasgow, Scotland.
The mission of the ISSB is to manage internationally the standards governing the disclosure by companies of information on environmental, social and good governance aspects.
