Out of inspiration or looking for an original or visually surprising recipe? Recipe sites and applications are multiplying on the Internet and social networks, to always offer more novelties on our plates. Companies in very good health.

For a father, cooking with his daughter has become a little Wednesday ritual. On the menu today, a ladybug pie. With the confinements, online recipe sites and applications have seen their audience jump. Among them, Chefclub and its 110 million subscribers worldwide. This real cooking recipe company, in a courtyard in the heart of Paris, is an idea of three brothers: Axel, Thomas and Jonathan. “Simple ingredients, surprising recipes“, this is the promise made by the siblings.

None of them is a cook, they studied economics. At the back of the room, they are thinking about future recipes, with in mind the desire to do something spectacular and visual. The recipes are then tested next door. If they are satisfactory, they are then filmed in French and in English in a short format of 3 to 5 minutes, which will go around the planet.

Last year, Chefclub achieved 15 million in turnover thanks to a well-established business model. “The more views we make on the platforms, the more we are paid. The second part of revenue is merchandise, and a third way to generate revenue is brand partnerships“, describes Axel Lang. Popular sites and applications: six out of ten French people say they connect to them at least once a month.
