CE2 students participated in a cooking workshop on Thursday October 12. The goal is to teach them to eat healthy products, but also to appreciate vegetables.
Thursday October 12, in a Parisian school, CE2 students discover the culinary art. The “Edible School” association introduces them to taste and how to choose good products while having fun. They learn to distinguish vegetables. The goal of these workshops is to be less dependent on processed products rich in sugar. “They learn to eat well, but not only for themselves, for their health, but also to promote the work of our farmers, our producers“, explains Eloïse Jerrain, coordinator of “L’écoleEdible Paris”.
Students happy with their learning
The children peel, cut and mix the products. A dad takes part in the workshop. “The role of the school is to educate children and open their eyes“, assures Eléa Molmeret, teacher at the Picpus school in Paris. The children can then taste. “We taste new things that we don’t know and it’s nice”says Yoram, 8 years old.
