The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CCA) has again disassociated itself from the protest against mandatory vaccinations, saying it appears that a number of participants have no connection to the trucking industry, warning that those- these have distinct purposes.

In a Saturday press release, the organization points out that many of those seen or heard in media reports of the truckers’ protest on Parliament Hill do not speak on behalf of the industry or represent truckers. in their whole.
It is estimated that about a tenth of truckers transporting goods are affected by requirements on both sides of the Canada-US border that drivers be vaccinated in order to cross freely.
The ACC argued in a statement that the industry must adapt and comply with this mandate, noting that the vast majority of drivers have done so.

Moe supports the protesters
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe has declared his support for the protesting truckers.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Moe said the current federal border policy for truckers makes no sense and that an unvaccinated trucker poses no greater risk of transmission than a vaccinated trucker.
He also argued that the policy poses a risk to Saskatchewan’s economy and supply chain, which could drive up the cost of living.
Mr. Moe is fully vaccinated, including a booster dose, which he says kept him from getting sick after recently contracting COVID-19.
He encouraged anyone who is not vaccinated to make an appointment for an injection, as he does not want anyone to become seriously ill from the virus.
