So-called “freedom” convoys gathered on Saturday February 12 at Paris, but also in Fontainebleau (Seine-et-Marne). Some blockages and tensions took place with the key to arrests. 54 people were arrested.

On the Champs-Elysees in Paristhe last members of the procession still here in the early evening of February 12, are evacuated by the police, under tear gas. Earlier in the day, in motorhomes, cars or on foot, several thousand demonstrators gathered to demonstrate in the capital. Within the “freedom convoy”opponents of the health pass, but not only. “We are tired of all these restrictions, we are tired of working and not being able to live decently”claims a protester.

To express their anger, some got up early. “We drove all night, we left at 9 p.m. last night from the Tarn and we arrived at 9 a.m. this morning”said a protester. In order to avoid a blockade of the capital, more than 7,000 police were deployed. In the afternoon, the police used tear gas to disperse the crowd. Assessment: more than 300 verbalizations.
