(Laval) The Laval Rocket scored three goals with one more man in the second period and defeated the Providence Bruins 6-3 on Friday in the American Hockey League.
Louie Belpedio, Lukas Vejdemo and Alex Belzile all scored on the power play within five minutes of the second period for the Rocket (12-10-2). Gabriel Bourque, Cameron Hillis and Kevin Roy also blacked the scoresheet in this second straight win of theirs.
Michael McNiven stopped 18 shots for the Rocket. The Laval team converted three of its five numerical superiorities.
Alexis D’Aoust, Cameron Hughes and Jack Ahcan sounded the charge for the Bruins (11-7-4), who led 2-0 in the first period. Troy Grosenick stopped 18 shots in the loss.
The game took place behind closed doors at Place Bell in Laval due to recent requests from the Quebec government regarding COVID-19.
