This program, of which it is the second year of existence, rewards this year 23 players whose contribution for a greater impact of golf in the media is calculated according to various criteria: searches on the internet, articles devoted to them, popularity on social networks, among others.
Tiger Woods, winner of 15 Majors, and who turns 47 next month, continues to recover from a very serious leg injury after his car accident in February 2021.
He will return to competition in early December at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, his first tournament since the British Open in July in St Andrews, Scotland.
Tiger Woods also made the caddy in early November for his son Charlie, who is very good at golf. He also recently indicated that he intends to participate in “The Match”, a 12-hole exhibition, with Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, scheduled for December 10.
Thomas came fourth in the PGA bonus program with $7.5 million, followed by Spaniard Jon Rahm (6 million), Americans Scottie Scheffler (5.5 million), Xander Schauffele (5 million), Briton Matt Fitzpatrick (5 million), Americans Will Zalatoris (5 million) and Tony Finau (5 million).
