contrasting weather that drives gardeners crazy

Behind his mustache, the mine of Jacky Mercier market gardener in Frontenay sur Dive is perplexed:

funny weather though…

The good news comes from tomatoes: the first field tomatoes are here. At the head of the pack: the Nuit Australe and the Coeur de Boeuf rose.

They are concentrated in sugar like the end of July! A month before then.

The temperature differences from one week to another are around 20°! From 30 degrees, mildew is no longer a threat but when the temperatures go down, the rain (welcome!) wets the leaves in abundance, then there: watch out for mildew.

What to do ?

Bordeaux mixture that is not watered for 2 or 3 hours. for it to be effective. Or baking soda.

Listen again to get the proportions.

Good tomatoes! The “golden apple”, as it was once called.
