The Quebec Ministry of the Environment knew since 2021 and did not take the precaution of informing the municipality, which was made aware, by Radio Canadalast January, as confirmed by the mayor of Val-d’Or this morning on the radio of Radio Canada Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
This is totally irresponsible on the part of Minister Benoit Charette, but what else can we expect from someone who is still slow to reveal to the citizens of Rouyn-Noranda the content of the ministerial permit in the Horne smelter file?
