More and more French people are flocking to wood stoves to offset the increase in electricity and gas bills.

Wood stoves are the new stars of the start of the fall season. Consumers are moving towards this option for economic and ecological reasons. “It consumes very little wood, it emits very little CO2, and it heats very well”, explains Caroline, satisfied with the wood stove she had installed in her home at the end of September.

A lot of people are rushing to buy a wood stove as quickly as possible. “We’re in a 100% electric house in terms of heating and everything. So we would like to have a second source, firstly to have a little more peace of mind following bad weather (…) and 100% electric it’s starting to cost “, testifies a client. Faced with such a crowd, several traders have doubled the selling price of wood stoves. Suppliers are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with the number requirements and supplies are trickling down.
