There was a festive atmosphere in the center of Berlin on the night of March 31 to April 1. More than 1,500 people came to smoke cannabis freely. With the legalization of cannabis, there is no longer any need to hide to consume.
From April 1, Germans have the right to have 25 grams of cannabis on them and 50 grams at home. At home, they can grow up to three plants. In a few weeks, associations will open, they will produce and sell cannabis.
Some fear perverse effects
The main reason for this legalization is the fight against trafficking. But many fear perverse effects. This legalization does not apply to tourists, because it is necessary to prove a fixed address in Germany to be able to buy cannabis.
