(Quebec) The official opposition accuses the CAQ government of favoritism in the construction and renovation of schools.
All accepted school renovation and construction projects are located in CAQ ridings, according to the Liberal Party (PLQ), which obtained this information through the Access to information law.
Liberal MP Marwah Rizqy thus maintains that 220 million school construction works in liberal constituencies have been “put on pause”.
During question period on Thursday, the Minister of Education, Bernard Drainville, responded that the projects were “evaluated” by civil servants based on “objective criteria”.
“Objective criteria mean being a CAQ player! », denounced Mme Rizqy, who “attributes intentions” to the CAQ, protested the government’s deputy parliamentary leader, Éric Caire.
