Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was perfect on 18 shots for the San Jose Sharks and the Winnipeg Jets won 1-0 Wednesday night at Canada Life Centre.
It was the American’s third shutout of 2023-24 and his 35th career in the National League.

Forward Morgan Barron was the only one to put the puck behind the goal line. In the first period, he deflected a shot behind goalkeeper Kaapo Kahkonen. See its purpose above.
Despite the defeat, the masked man of the Sharks did very well in Manitoba. The 27-year-old Finn stopped 39 pucks.
The Jets will return to action on Saturday with a duel against the Canucks in Vancouver. For their part, the Sharks will visit the Flames in Calgary on Thursday.
