Diamond Day, the musical project formed by Béatrix Méthé (of the group Rosier) and Quinn Bachand (nominated for a Grammy award for her participation in Kittel & Co), brings to the world a first album of captivating dream pop that resonates with shoegaze sounds and rock from the grunge and indie sleaze. Connect the Dots also reaches us thanks to the evocation in a fairly nebulous, but never really obscure, way of themes such as identity and the heritage of existence, but also mental health, death, then rebirth. Note that the duo established in Montreal notably called on the talent of musicians Jorge Elbrecht (Japanese Breakfast, Wild Nothing) and Sebastian Kinsler (Feeble Little Horse) to Connect the Dots. Finally, Diamond Day managed to stand out from the crowd with titles like Summerland And Downtownfor their surprisingly dissonant textures, or the title song Connect the Dots And Tinawhich are reminiscent of the world of Beach House.
