The parole request for Valery Fabrikant, the perpetrator of the 1992 Concordia shootings, has once again been rejected by the Parole Board of Canada.

The decision was made on June 30. The quadruple murderer has been trying to obtain parole for several years, and each time his request is rejected.
In its decision, the Parole Board of Canada (PBC) indicates that Mr. Fabrikant has made “little or no progress in addressing the concerns highlighted” during his last application.
The government agency explains that the “attitude and personal emotional orientation” of the Concordia murderer still requires “a high need for intervention”.
Valery Fabrikant had traveled to Concordia University on August 24, 1992 and shot several of his colleagues in the mechanical engineering department. The mechanical engineering professor had killed four and injured a secretary.
