Computer hacking | Biden’s son sues Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s former lawyer

(Washington) US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter filed suit in federal court on Tuesday against Rudy Giuliani, former lawyer for his father’s predecessor Donald Trump, and another lawyer for hacking personal computer data.

Legal concerns are piling up for former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, prosecuted in Georgia (southeast) with 18 other people, including Donald Trump, for allegedly illicit attempts to reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election. He was also ordered to pay significant damages for defamation of two election officials in that state whom he had unfairly accused of fraud.

Hunter Biden filed these lawsuits in California, where he resides, against Rudy Giuliani and the latter’s former lawyer, Robert Costello, for illegally recovering and manipulating computer data belonging to him, according to the text of his complaint.

He accuses them of having “for years devoted an extraordinary amount of time and energy to researching, hacking, manipulating, reproducing, disseminating and more generally obsessing over data” which had been “stolen or stolen” from him.

In October 2020, shortly before the presidential election, Republicans claimed to have a hard drive copy of data from a computer that Hunter Biden allegedly left at a computer repair store and never recovered.

Joe Biden’s opponents have released files, lurid photos and allegedly problematic emails drawn from this data, supporting their suspicions of favoritism on the part of the Democratic leader towards his son.

Hunter Biden also filed an action against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) last week, accusing it of public statements by his agents “that revealed confidential information” about his tax file.

He is accused of tax evasion and lying when filling out forms to acquire a firearm in 2018, in which he denied the drug addiction he later admitted to.

Donald Trump and many Republican leaders have made Hunter Biden one of their favorite targets, seeing him as the outgoing president’s Achilles heel.
