It’s not very complicated Jacques, even if you might think from the outside that it’s a somewhat closed environment and difficult to access, I’m going to show you the opposite.
A few formalities of course?
This is the right word for formalities, nothing very dissuasive! A fishing license at first and a license paid for with a competition club to be able to participate in the various events. It is in this sense that the fishing license must first be considered since the issuance of the license will not take place if you do not present your valid fishing license for the current year.
Already you have to know if there are competition clubs in Charente-Maritime
There are 7 in the department, the vast majority not far from Jacques who lives in Saintes. I am going to quote you these different clubs without going into the details of the specialties of each of them. Know Jacques that in general these clubs offer you classic rod fishing, feeder fishing and match fishing.
So where are these clubs?
I’m going to start with Saintes, the proximity of Jacques’ home you have: Saintes fishing competition and the sinker of Dompierre sur Charente. We move away a little bit for Marennes fishing competition and the Rochefortais club and to finish the Gaule Jonzacaise, the Team Sensas Montendre and the sports group of the Amicale du Gardon Rochelais. Here are the 7 clubs all grouped together at the departmental level by the Departmental Fresh Water Commission whose President is Alain HAIDOPOULO.
I guess fishing works like all other sports, departmental, regional, national and international divisions.
It’s exactly that ! the best of the departmental divisions qualify for the higher level and so on up to the inter – international level. We also have M’BAPPE and MESSI.
If Jacques wants a little more detail on these clubs, what steps should he take?
Two solutions, he consults on the Federation’s website the section “Office and sports clubs” where he will find the contact details of the club managers. He can even discover the program of the various competitions during the year 2022 with the dates and the places, a competition of national level which in my opinion even as a spectator deserves the trip. And, if Jacques does not have an internet connection, he makes contact by telephone with Joëlle who is in charge of reception at the Federation and who will be happy to inform him.
