“companies have already made great efforts” says the boss of Medef Alsace

Energy sobriety. It’s the key word. Elisabeth Borne, the Prime Minister asked the bosses on Monday for energy sobriety plans, to successfully get through the winter, against a backdrop of gas and electricity shortages since the conflict in Ukraine.

The government hopes a 10% drop in consumption companies. For Olivier Klotz, head of Medef Alsace, companies did not wait to make efforts.

“Companies will adapt as usual anyway. They have already made great efforts in terms of energy consumption. the tertiary sector in offices we will reduce consumption, but it will be less important” he said.

On the other hand, the boss of Medef Alsace does not ask for particular help from the government. “You know, aids are taxes. You don’t need anything, because you’ll have to pay it back one day. We need to produce nuclear energy and find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Europe.” says Olivier Klotz.
