La Nupes on the verge of implosion
The statement by the LFI MP from Paris accentuates the divisions within LFI and Nupes. Several members dissociated themselves from their colleague’s comments. The Nupes divorce seems near. “We break off all relations until there is clarification about Hamas”, commented Fabien Roussel, national secretary of the French Communist Party. The National Council of the Socialist Party (PS) is currently discussing a moratorium to obtain clarification on this issue. The future of the PS within the Nupes could be called into question.
