Well-known comedian and host Francisco Randez is accused of hitting a woman in a domestic context. This martial arts enthusiast appeared Tuesday at the Saint-Hyacinthe courthouse.
The 46-year-old man faces one count of assault against a woman, whose identity is protected. Because the count was filed summarily, this means that the alleged offense is objectively less serious than a criminal act.
His trial has been set for next October at the Saint-Hyacinthe courthouse. Francisco Randez was not present during Tuesday’s appearance.
Francisco Randez is known for his roles in the series Horse-Snake And 5e Rank. He has also been a presenter at Rythme FM for several years and writes a weekly column on 98.5 FM. He was also the host of several series on the Évasion channel and a columnist for several TV shows.
