The Night of Sport is an event set up to meet the expectations of young people. It is further to the distribution of a questionnaire constructed and distributed by the young people that this event was born. The first two editions, organized only at the Montpezat-Sous-Bauzon gymnasium, brought together nearly 1,000 participants. With nearly 15 sports associations mobilized on 10 sites, young and old can discover a rich and varied program of disciplines and activities free of charge.
A 2022 edition which extends to the surrounding municipalities
In addition to the program at the Montpezat gymnasium, three inter-municipal facilities will be mobilized, in partnership with the user associations: the stadium in the municipality of Thueyts, the bowling alley in the municipality of Fabras and the swimming pool in the municipality of Pont-de-Labeaume. Finally to propose a complete offer of discovery of the sporting possibilities present on our territory, so-called “outdoor” activities will be proposed on the climbing sites of Burzet (site of the clock) and Jaujac (Tras les Beaumes), at the start from the Jaujac mountain bike base as well as on the Meyras orienteering course.
The activities will be supervised by professionals and accessible free of charge. Aquatic activities, mountain biking and climbing will require prior registration which will be done online on the website of the community of communes, of which here is the link.
