At the Notre-Dame de Bon Secours maternity hospital in the 14th arrondissement of Paris on October 28, 1944, a certain Michel Colucci was born, the one who would later become Coluche, a French icon who died tragically at the age of 41 in 1986. Before disappearing so suddenly by plunging the Whole of France in immense grief, the comedian and comedian so committed was in a relationship with the “little Fred”, Frédérique Fayles-Bernstein of his real name. A woman who is now the wife of a television figure, Pierre Lescure.
Frédérique Fayles-Bernstein was Coluche’s last love before his death in 1986, after a road accident while riding a motorbike on a lane in the Alpes-Maritimes. Nicknamed “little Fred” because she was 19 when he met her through Fred Romano in the Parisian nightclub Bains Douches, Coluche had even introduced her to her mother “Monette” before go officially to meet his parents. Young, she already had a heavy emotional liability since she had just divorced Gilbert Cohen-Scali.
Today aged 61, Frédérique Fayles-Bernstein is the wife of journalist, television man and former president of the Cannes Film Festival, Pierre Lescure, with whom she adopted a daughter in Vietnam in 1999, Anna-Rose. In The Luxury Momenthe confided in the adoption of their child: “My wife went to discover the child one day in January 1999. She stayed four months there for all the steps, which went smoothly with the Vietnamese authorities.“
Before this last idyll brutally ended, Coluche was the husband of Véronique Kantor, a student who dreams of being a journalist. The couple married in 1975, had two children – Romain, 50, and Marius, 46 – and divorced in 1981. She died in 2018 and remained on good terms with him, becoming honorary president and administrator Restos du Coeur after the death of her former husband.
