The owner of the small café in Bois-des-Filion, Mélanie Ménard, welcomed us to prepare a Hawaii bowl, whose surprising blue color is obtained thanks to spirulina… magic. Here’s how to prepare it.

Ingredients

  • 190g frozen bananas
  • 90g frozen pineapple
  • 20g coconut cream
  • 100ml almond milk
  • 5g Blue Majik Spirulina*

* Note: Blue Majik spirulina, extracted from algae harvested from an Oregon lake, is distinguished by its turquoise color. It can be purchased on site, at La Stationorganique.

Preparation

  • 1. Put the bananas, pineapples and coconut cream in the blender.  Mix well.
