(Bogotá) Former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe (2002-2010), tutelary figure of the conservative right and one of the most influential politicians in Colombia, will be tried for witness tampering, the prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday.
The statement from the prosecutor’s office does not specify the date of the trial, but it will be the first time in the country’s history that a former head of state is brought before the courts.
