A driver fled after being involved in a collision with a pedestrian who was injured on Saturday evening in Drummondville, in the Centre-du-Québec region.

The accident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Saint-Joseph Boulevard, also known as Route 143, near the intersection with Saint-Alphonse Street, said the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec ( SQ), Nicholas Scholtus.
The driver allegedly failed to stop at a red light, colliding with another vehicle which was thrown at a 73-year-old pedestrian.
After losing consciousness at the scene, the victim was taken to a hospital center where she regained her senses and was in a precarious state at the end of the evening.
The 53-year-old driver of the second vehicle was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The person driving the car at fault fled the scene shortly after the incident.
