(London) The Western University Mustangs easily earned their ticket to the Vanier Cup final with a resounding 61-6 win over the St-Francis-Xavier University X-Men in the Cup final Mitchell Saturday afternoon in London.
The Mustangs led 23-0 after the first quarter and 51-3 after the first half.
The Mustangs mostly caused their damage through their ground attack. The X-Men were unable to stop Edouard Wanadi, who amassed 238 yards and scored three touchdowns.
Trey Humes also had three touchdowns, using 91 rushing yards. Keon Edwards added a major and 104 yards.
Quarterback Evan Hillock only attempted ten passes. He completed eight for 114 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown pass to Griffin Campbell in the first quarter.
