Collection points for used Christmas trees in Isère

Christmas and the end of year celebrations passed, we must now take out the trees, slightly faded, which adorned apartments, houses, shops and business offices during this period. If in rural areas and still in many small and medium-sized towns the general rule remains the voluntary contribution to the recycling center, when the tree is not replanted in the garden, the practice of “collection points” is now widespread in the largest cities and towns. The Voironnais country continues to stand out with collections at the foot of buildings in the densest arteries.

As has become a habit, Grenoble Alpes Métropole offers on its territory 52 Christmas tree collection areas. These are small sectors delimited by barriers, in parking spaces or pedestrian areas, where you can bring your user tree. It will be used as dry matter in the large compost of the Metropolis, alongside kitchen waste. Collection points are in place until January 28.

  • Porte de l’Isère urban community (CAPI)

The rule remains the voluntary contribution to the recycling center but Bourgoin-Jallieu nevertheless offers, until January 17, three specific collection areas: place des Marettes, rue des Moulins and boulevard St Michel. As in most communities the tree must be natural, without bags, artificial snow, feet, nails or screws. It will then be crushed to make chips used for mulching in the city’s green spaces.

  • Vienne-Condrieu agglomeration

In Vienna “green skips” will be present from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm to collect the fallen trees:
– January 10, Place Muray-et-Tardy and Square Vassy
– January 12, Place Camille-Jouffray and Place du March 19, 1962
– Thursday 13 place de la Ferme and place de la Fûterie
– Friday January 14, Jean-Moulin car park.

The collection of trees will take place Thursday January 6. It does not concern the whole territory but, as usual, certain streets in the most urban areas. As it happens the town centers of Voiron, Rives, Tullins, Moirans and Voreppe. He is “imperative, underlines the agglomeration, to put the trees on the sidewalk, on Wednesday evening, without decoration, without bag, plastic or pot“.”You don’t have to drop your trees anywhere, group them together and make sure that the truck goes through the street concerned by your drop-off!“.

Within this community of commune only the commune of the Tour du Pin offers a special device. A collection, until January 28, on the upper part of the Champs de Mars. The inhabitants will then be able to recover the chips for their gardens.
