Colin Farrell reveals his surprising technique to fight against his “alcoholic addictions”

Phone Game, Minority Report, Miami Vice – Two Miami Cops…Colin Farrell has an impressive filmography. He adds one of the most anticipated films of 2022, with The Batman. The actor promoted it by taking part in the interview, the opportunity to come back to his fight against his alcoholism.

Colin Farrell spoke with Public. The 45-year-old actor answered some very cash about his turbulent love life (he has now been single for many years) and his two children, James and Henry (18 and 12), from previous relationships with Kim Bordenave and Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. Colin rightly attributes his victory over his alcohol addiction to his boys.

Belgian pancakes, an effective remedy against alcohol!

They witnessed phases of my life where I was very damaged because of my actions or my excesses. Sometimes I have not been up to par with them. But they never held it against me. They are fighters! They taught me to offload my bag of shit“, first confides the actor, who pulled himself together thanks to them.

Colin Farrell then reveals his tip for beating alcoholism: “A few years ago, I shot the film ‘Bons Baisers de Bruges’ in Belgium [sorti en 2008, NDLR]. I was no longer drinking and I had hundreds of beers within reach. You can’t imagine how much I had to struggle. To calm my alcoholic inclinations, I fell back on the local pancakes! Another less harmful kill!

In the past, Colin Farrell was also addicted to drugs and painkillers. The comedian went to rehab at the end of 2005, treatment that temporarily took him away from Hollywood.

Rid of his addictions, the handsome Irishman is now a man in excellent shape! He proved it again last December, during a simple jog on the heights of Los Angeles. The actor had finished his race shirtless and aroused many reactions after the publication of his photos in full effort.

Metamorphosed into The Batman, Colin Farrell embodies the character of Oz, a role that would have required him to gain weight. The production managed to circumvent the problem by imagining “a special costume with prostheses“.”The first time I wanted to test it in real life, I went to a Starbucks with it. People were speechless“, he confides to Public.
