The Canadian forward attended the preparatory match between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Detroit Pistons.
Accompanied in particular by his injured teammates Chris Wideman and Christian Dvorak, Caufield had a front row seat to watch Quebecer Luguentz Dort, to whom he conceded no less than seven inches, score the first points of the match on a superb throw from downtown.
CH head coach, Martin St-Louis, was also on site.
After Dort, it will be Caufield’s turn to rock the Bell Center on Saturday, while new NHL sensation Connor Bedard will be visiting with his Chicago Blackhawks for the Habs’ opening game.
