Number 10, known as the “Blonde Demon”, will be at the heart of this show presented at the Cogeco Amphitheater in Trois-Rivières, from July 19 to August 19, 2023.
This was announced on Wednesday by the Trois-Rivières Events Corporation and the Cirque du Soleil.
Guy Lafleur, who notably played at the Montreal Forum and the Coliseum in Quebec, will thus be celebrated halfway between the two great rivals of yesteryear on the ice.
“Over the years, the Trois-Rivières public and its visitors have become loyal to our proposal to combine circus arts and Quebec’s cultural heritage. Once again, we will have the chance to deepen and explore the creative platform of the “Tribute Series”, but from a new angle. Gathering, inspiring and persevering, Guy Lafleur, who has become the idol of a people, is part of our history, and we are honored to be able to pay tribute to him through this new creation,” said the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cirque du Soleil Group, Stéphane Lefebvre.
Over the past six editions, Cirque du Soleil shows celebrating Quebec monuments have been seen by nearly 334,000 people in total in the Mauricie capital.
