Coffee, from bean to cup

“Black as the Devil, hot as Hell, pure as an angel, and sweet as love…” It is with these words that the famous diplomat and minister, Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord, defined coffee in the 18th century…

The coffee is indeed almost unanimous. A source of pleasure but also of energy, coffee is drunk short and without sugar, or light and very sweet, dark and infinitely full-bodied, or even with the addition of milk or cream. At home or at work, in the morning, in the afternoon and even for some in the evening, it occupies an important place in your life.

On the occasion of International Coffee Day, which takes place on October 1, Nathalie Helal reveals the back of the cup, so that the coffee loses its shadows once and for all.

For this program entirely dedicated to coffee, she invited Anne-Caron, Bruno Michaut and Charles Danican.

Anne Caron directs the Caron House in Paris, the Joan of Arc Cafes in Rouen and the Cafes Duchossoy to the harbor. She was elected Best Coffee Roaster of France in 2017 and has published Coffeeography Hachette editions.

Bruno Michaut is the founder of Charles Danican Cafes in Le Havre and master roaster.

Victor Delpierre is a barista and consultant to chefs and restaurateurs.
