Written by Dominic James (Blind spot) and directed by Sébastien Gagné (Let go, The cottage), Coco Farm tells the story of Max (Oscar Desgagnés), an 11-year-old boy forced to move with his father to a remote village. When he discovers chickens at his cousin Charles (Joey Bélanger), Max sees a business opportunity. The two budding entrepreneurs join forces with Alice (Emma Bao Linh Tourné), a young Youtuber, and together they start creating a farm of 500 laying hens.
Simon Lacroix, Steve Laplante, Mia Garnier and Louis-Philippe Dandenault will also appear in the credits of Coco Farm. Productions La Fête and Attraction are producing the feature film, in collaboration with Quebecor Content.
In a press release, filmmaker Sébastien Gagné shared his enthusiasm for being in charge of the shoot. “It is an honor to ensure the production of the film which marks the return of Tales for all. For me, it’s the equivalent of making a Star Wars ! »
Coco Farm is due to open in 2023. It will then be relayed by Club illico.
