Monday, September 25, the program “66 minutes” focused on student housing. In a report called “The scandal of unsanitary student accommodation”, the program therefore went to meet several young people who lived in deplorable conditions… And among them, one of them particularly caused a reaction on the Web: a 23-year-old woman living in a 9 m2 apartment infested with cockroaches!
“The 23-year-old student no longer has time to work after class, she spends her evenings scrubbing,” indicates the voiceover of the report before the young student explains the reason why she became manic.
“For 9 m2, it takes me too long to clean. Because I have to do it every day. I’m not like the others who don’t have cockroaches in their room and can leave the dishes for several days”she explains before pulling out the fridge to show the cameraman the hundred cockroaches crawling around her house…
“I am traumatized, I am not well. Mentally I’m not well at all.” confided the student who is not only annoyed by cockroaches. “There are lots of bugs” also entrusted the latter by showing his bed and his arm covered with sting. A complicated daily life in unsanitary accommodation which has consequences on the student life of this young woman in master’s degree… Especially since no renovation is planned by the Crois before 2023…
