Jeannine Perron-Ruel, 80, was reportedly killed in front of her residence in Coaticook, Estrie, on Thursday. An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of this event.
At around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, “the MRC Coaticook police officers were called for an 80-year-old woman who was found lifeless and injured outside her residence on de la Rivière street, in Coaticook,” said Marythé Bolduc, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The victim was transported to a hospital, where his death was pronounced
According to the first information obtained by the SQ “everything leads to believe that it is a homicide”, indicated Mme Bolduc.
The SQ’s personal crimes team is in charge of the investigation.
