Stade Rennais coach Julien Stephan will extend his contract for two additional seasons in the coming days, the sports management of Radio France learned on Monday March 25 from a source close to the matter, confirming information from Parisien-Aujourd today in France.
Arriving during the season on November 19 to replace Bruno Genesio, the 43-year-old technician was under contract until next June. Stade Rennais is qualified for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France and the club is still in the race for Europe. The Breton leaders, satisfied with the coach’s work, will therefore have him sign a new lease until June 2026.
