The coach of “La Voix” Corneille won the prize for Francophone Artist or Musical Group of the Year on Saturday during the Culture Evening of the Gala Dynastie, at the Maisonneuve Theater of Place des Arts, in Montreal.

The event celebrating cultural actors from black communities who contribute to the richness and diversity of the Quebec cultural scene was hosted by comedian Erich Preach. The latter had won Thursday, during the Gala Dynasty media evening, the prize for TV host of the year. Also on Thursday during the award ceremony hosted by Naadei Lyonnais, our colleague Anne-Lovely Étienne, columnist at “24 heures”, won the opinion writer of the year award.
In addition to the distinction given Saturday to Corneille, 13 other prizes were distributed on Saturday evening and Kim Richardson and several other artists delivered performances on stage.
Tribute prizes were also awarded on Thursday and Saturday to Ethel Bruneau (Doudou Boicel Prize), Raymond Laurent (Dynasty Grand Prize) and Rebecca Makonnen (Dynasty Icon Prize).
