“Clovis & Oups, Freshwater Sailors” by Aurélie Valognes and François Ravard

Clovis is a little boy, and Oups is his grandpa and grandma’s dog.

On the front page, Clovis introduces us to all of his familywith portraits and names. This story is written by Aurélie Valognes and François Ravard, published by Flammarion Jeunesse.

The story is simple and very cute: like every summer, Clovis goes to his grandparents, to the sea, and he loves it!

The little family has to face the wind and it’s not easy! Grandpa’s jersey flies away, then it’s Clovis’ hat, finally a big wave chases them, and grandpa’s glasses fall in the water, the sunburns… etc… The day is very lively and full of adventures! This lovely book is for children from 5 years old.

Adults already know Aurelie Valognes for his successful novels: “Even in the nettles” or “The whirlwind of life”.

Francois Ravais, the illustrator of this lovely book, has published a dozen comics.

Together they have just created their very first series of youth albums, with Clovis and Oups.
