Cloudy and a bit cool, expecting rain from Friday

Even if the clouds will be more present on Tuesday, there will be no precipitation in southern and central Quebec, while waiting for a large low pressure system which will bring a lot of rain in its wake, for Friday and Saturday.

Thus, up to 25 millimeters of rain are expected between Friday and Saturday in Greater Montreal and a little less in the region of Quebec and its surroundings where the rain will be mixed with snow in the northern sectors.

In the meantime, Environment Canada predicts for Tuesday an alternation of sun and clouds in the south and center of the province where temperatures will drop slightly, giving a feeling of cold especially in the morning.

The clouds will be even denser and heavier in the sectors of eastern Quebec where snow showers without accumulations are to be expected, particularly in certain places in the Bas-Saint-Laurent and the Gaspé tip.

The rest of the week promises to be rather sunny with a few passing clouds, while the mercury will rise in the south where temperatures could reach 8 degrees in Montreal and Estrie on Wednesday, according to forecasts from the federal agency.
