(Toronto) Thomson Reuters said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement to acquire Imagen, a company that helps sports organizations, businesses and media companies manage their digital content libraries in the cloud.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The company said Imagen’s business would be operated within the Reuters News division of Thomson Reuters.
Reuters Chairman Paul Bascobert said the addition of Imagen would make it easier for customers to discover, access and manage the content they need.
Imagen also owns Screenocean, which offers production companies and others the ability to license video and photo content.
Thomson Reuters on Tuesday announced it has signed a $650 million deal to buy Casetext, a company that uses advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning to create technology for lawyers.
