Clotilde Courau is a very involved mother. A few days ago, the actress revealed the link she had with her two daughters Vittoria, 18, and Luisa, 15, born from her marriage to Emmanuel-Philibert de Savoie. If she doesn’t particularly want them to become actresses, she does want to send them specific things like “the sense of effort” and “the sense of commitment“: “Being committed is a form of resistance, the only way today to overcome the trials we are going through. […] I would like to convey to my daughters that everything is possible and that nothing is insurmountable“.
Luisa and Vittoria are on track to perpetuate the altruistic side of their parents. Just last week, elder Vittoria was on the doorstep of Ukraine helping and spending time with refugees fleeing the country. The experience is etched forever in his mind: “I am still shocked by this experience. […] One of the most moving moments was to see a father, visibly distressed, who left his children in this kind of makeshift orphanage to try to guarantee them a ticket to Europe. In tears, he crossed the Ukrainian border again to reach the kyiv outpost and return to the fight knowing that, most likely, he would never see his family again. His is more than ever all that matters now.
