Isabelle Weidemann will be the flag bearer for the Canadian team at the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics on Sunday.

The long track speed skater won three medals, one of each color, during these Olympics.

“I’m so proud to be a member of this team,” she says. I don’t know how many times this week I’ve shared the joy, but also the sadness of other people. It was amazing to see everyone give their best performance. I love the Olympics. I love being part of the Canadian team. »
The Ottawa-born was Canada’s first medalist in Beijing, winning bronze in the 3,000m event on February 5.
Five days later, she won the silver medal in the 5000m.
And finally, she took gold in the team pursuit on February 15, along with Valérie Maltais and Ivanie Blondin.
