(Montreal) Finally, on Saturday, April 23, the founding convention of the political party Climat Québec will take place.

The leader of the party, Martine Ouellet, founded this party, dedicated to the climate emergency, last May.
The party had been authorized by the Chief Electoral Officer of Quebec on August 2, but it had not yet held its founding convention. This will therefore take place in Boucherville on April 23, the day after Earth Day.
In a statement to announce her founding convention, chef Martine Ouellet presents the event as “the official starting point of a great wind of change in Quebec”.
It reports having “several hundred members” in all regions of Quebec and “who are ready to build a green and independent Quebec”. She invites voters to “turn the page on Quebec’s polluting past”.
