(Berea) Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson practiced with his teammates for the first time in nearly three weeks Thursday after missing two games with a right shoulder injury.
Watson, who has made just nine starts in two seasons with the Browns, is bothered by a contusion and strained rotator cuff in his shoulder. He was injured while running on September 24 against the Tennessee Titans.
Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said Watson “has to go out there and throw some passes. It will be good for him to be back with the guys.”
Unable to generate power in his passes, Watson had to miss last week’s game against the 49ers from San Francisco. His presence at Browns training suggests that he could be in uniform against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Watson also missed the match on 1er October against the Baltimore Ravens.
P.J. Walker got the start last week and played well enough for the Browns to surprise the 49ers. Walker will be the starter again against the Colts (3-3) if Watson is unable to play.
