Cleveland Browns | Deshaun Watson will start throwing again in March

(Cleveland) Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will return to throwing the ball next month, whose season ended after six starts due to surgery on his right shoulder.

Watson, who broke a bone in his right shoulder on Nov. 12, has received the green light from doctors to start throwing again in a few weeks, general manager Andrew Berry assured Tuesday.

Watson’s injury was initially not considered serious, but a magnetic resonance imaging test revealed the fracture and, with it, the need for surgery.

The 28-year-old quarterback made just 12 starts for the Browns, who acquired him in a mega-deal from the Houston Texans in 2022.

Following the Watson injury, the Browns hired Joe Flacco, who revived his career in Cleveland and led the team to the playoffs. Flacco was honored with the Greatest Comeback of the Year by the Associated Press.
