Clémence Guetté, LFI deputy for Val-de-Marne, pleads on franceinfo Friday December 1st for “a permanent ceasefire” as quickly as possible, while after a week of truce, fighting resumes in Gaza.
“We will be in the streets on Saturday”to demonstrate and demand “the release of the hostages, the end of the massacres” committed in Gaza and “the end of colonization”. After the mobilizations in France on October 22, then those of November 4 and 18, several associations and unions such as the CGT are calling for a rally on Saturday in several cities.
“We have been holding the same position for weeks”assures the elected LFI who wants “do everything so that a permanent ceasefire can be established in Israel and Palestine. We have constant slogans, so obviously we deplore the intensive resumption of the conflict”.
Moreover, “we are absolutely not silent” on the release of the hostages, explains Clémence Guetté. “There are Franco-Israelis among the hostages, so we rejoice when there are releases. We say each time that all lives are equal. I know that French diplomacy is working in this direction, and it is a good thing“, she concludes.
