Since her elimination during the meeting of ambassadors and her arrival on the island of the banished, Coumba had only one idea in mind: to see Clémence join her and face her in the arena. A confrontation which took place on November 2, 2021, on TF1 in the edition All Stars of Koh-Lanta baptized The legend. The two women came last against a determined Alexandra and both left the game. Interviewed by Purepeople.com, Clémence Castel returned to her reunion with Coumba and spoke of their current relationship.
How did you experience your arrival on the island of the banished, with the very cold welcome from Coumba? ?
As soon as I saw that there was the possibility of being saved once again I told myself that there were inevitably other people on this island and perhaps Coumba. The reception was cold but I wanted to show understanding. Everyone expresses their anger and disappointment in their own way. What I didn’t want, however, was for it to influence my approach to the next event, that of the arena.
Precisely, did his attitude have any consequences on your performance?
I tried to shield myself from all of this. I tried to do this test without all of this having an influence, but there must have been a little bit. Because despite everything, what happens with Coumba touches me because she is a person that I appreciate and that I esteem.
She said she was “appeased” that her tormentor, you, was eliminated with her. How did you experience those harsh words?
Her words are very strong but I believe that before being his executioner she was mine. If she had accepted that I explain my positioning to her, maybe she would have understood my choices a little better.
Today, where are you in your relationship?
Coumba still doesn’t want to listen to my explanations but when she feels ready to hear them, I’ll be there. She must understand that there are things to take into account in relation to the first part of the adventure where she still voted against me three times. Even though I am an understanding, calm and calm person, I have shown that in my various adventures I also have my say and when I can make choices and express myself I do so in relation to what is happening. passed previously. My choice to eliminate Coumba was justified.
You were in danger from the start of the adventure. What do you think of those who said you’ve already won twice Koh Lanta and that it is time to make room for others?
I think it was a Koh Lanta during which it was very hard to make choices at each council. For me, putting a name on the newsletter was difficult because everyone had their place in the adventure. Either because the person was strong during the tests or in strategy, or in survival and it is difficult to make a choice. This season the cast was so 5 star that it was very complicated so I can understand why we say that. It’s not my way of seeing things but I quickly realized that I was going to have to deal with it.
After giving your immunity amulet to Alix, here she is voting against you. How did you experience it?
I do not regret having given my amulet to Alix because at that point in the game I had no ally in the adventure. I no longer think of myself as yellow I have never been red and I learn that a new alliance is made with most of the boys and that I am not one of them. So I might as well try to pull myself out of the game and try to ally with someone and the best way to achieve this is to give my amulet to the person who was most in danger, that is to say say Alix. The fact that she votes against me then is something I would not have done but Alix has said several times that she considers that Koh Lanta is a game and so all shots are allowed. It’s her way of playing her, it’s not mine, but it explains her way of approaching the adventure.
Who would you like to see win?
I think of Sam and Loïc who are young, very mature and very calm. I also think of Claude who really impressed me. He deserves to win, he was nevertheless three times on the posts! I also think of Jade who is an outstanding adventurer and has shown it for years.
