Before the good weather arrives, let’s be ready to bring out our garden furniture. Emmanuel Grosbois, from the “A fleur d’eau” garden in Cherveux, to advise us on the refurbishment of our wooden garden furniture:
– 1st step: Elbow grease! And then prepare: a scraper, a deck brush, St Marc detergent and a sander if the coating is in very poor condition. You don’t need a lot of materials!
– If your garden furniture is covered with old paint, you will have to scrape it or brush it to remove all the crumbly parts. Then, it’s time to clean with lukewarm water and St Marc detergent in order to unclog the wood. Once clean, you can apply oil, stain or paint. If your living room is made of exotic wood, it is better to saturate it so that the wood can no longer absorb anything. Find all the tips by listening to Emmanuel Grosbois.
In plastic or pvc: Use baking soda mixed with water to wash it well, and restore its color!
